Whoops, I wrote this note while a brother I truly admire and look up to was preaching a series on the first three chapters of Revelation. If you see this Whitey, Thank you for being faithful.
Jesus Christ the Almighty is dictating seven letters to seven specific churches in seven different towns. Although these letters were written to specific churches, it is still the Word of God, living and breathing, sharper than any two edged sword, and perfect for doctrine, reproof, correction, training in righteousness so that we are all properly equipped for every good work. Without further ado here is my incredibly and utterly brief synopsis of Revelations 2 and 3 for life applications:
Do not lose your first love, even if threatened with persecution. Not being swayed by heresy or immorality, stay vigilant and seize the opportunities God lays before you. Not allowing yourself to become lukewarm.
I am by no means saying that this is all the meat in these chapters. There is much more, and the family (“congregation” in layman’s terms) I am a part of had the wonderful opportunity to be fed the blessed meat from this portion of God’s Word by a preacher man who has made feeding people a career, literally… lol… Sorry could not resist.
